For the Ancestors - A comtemporary Medieval Wall Hanging
'For the Ancestors' is an intricate, handmade wall hanging, that is absolutely one of a kind. I made this wall art piece not only to honour the artistic legacy of Medieval Makers, whose mastery over materials continues to influence my work today, but also as a tribute to all the Family who have gone before.
This wall hanging features a large oval checkerboard green agate, with rubies on all four corners, set in sterling silver, along with four round onyx cabochons set in bronze bezels. All nine settings have been attached to a bronze layer beneath, and mounted on a grey leather backing, atop a green leather base, with tiny bronze nails.
