As an Artist Goldsmith and Miniature Swordmaker, I create unique Jewellery and Accessories, often with a Historic Twist.
Springing forth from a background in Bladesmithing, Leatherworking, and a passion for emulating the magnificent of ancient artefacts, I incorporate an array of materials into my work.
Warhorse Studios operates out of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Armed with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Alberta, and a passion for Cultural Histories, Sharon lived in Edinburgh (Scotland) and Wexford (Ireland), from 1999-2008. Her Journey as an Artist began during this time, with training in Blacksmithing, Bladesmithing, Swordmaking, Silversmithing, and Leatherwork. Experience with the Conservation of Museum Artefacts, Research of Arms & Armour, and the Restoration of Regalia, have all contributed mightily to Sharon's fascination with how ancient artworks were made, and her devotion to working with metals and leather.
Her Goldsmithing Apprenticeship began upon her return to Edmonton in 2008, and she has been honing her skills in custom, design, and repair work, ever since. She loves to explore new ways of creating precious treasure, with delicate metals and special stones, and established her Smithy as Warhorse Studios, in 2011.
